The very nice surgeon today pronounced me fit and well for driving, dancing and work and even suggested a new (annoyingly painful) exercise to alleviate the limp. He filled in the appropriate form for me to get a low-level orthotic for the right leg limp.
It feels like a success in the interests of holistic health.
But he also reckons that the new exercise (ow) and constant exercise will strengthen the right foot – which has a level 4 drop foot (ie not so bad).
The only reserve is that I not do any show tango, get thrown in the air or swoon in the arms of my leader.
