It’s a gripe. Places that say they are ‘disability friendly’ like Te Papa where a sanctimonious man assured me that people with disabilities had checked the place out. Wheelchairs perhaps?
The entrance way is lethal – the wind catches you (I have already been blown over at the entrance) the tiles/entrance way can be slippery, the lifts go to one floor then you have to walk to the other lifts. It’s miles and miles of uncomfortable walking to get to see what you want to see…all treacherous. It’s a horrible and uncomfortable experience.
The disability toilet at the Sky Casino (Auckland). How do people in wheelchairs (not me) get up the two or three stairs to get into the toilet?
